Michelle grew up in Zimbabwe, and now lives in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains with her husband and children. When not in the studio, Michelle can usually be found hanging out at the barn with her two horses, Tess and Savannah.

Michelle is skilled in several different media: Oil, watercolor, pastel, egg tempera, encaustic, and drawing. Michelle has spent many years researching the techniques of the Old Masters, and has copied works by Vermeer, Velazquez, Rembrandt, Winterhalter, David, and Bouguereau. She also teaches classes in ancient media, such as Silverpoint drawing, encaustics, and Gilding.
